First Game... First Win!

The lads took the pitch on a brisk Sunday morning at the prestigious Park gym, home of the Bruins. Eager to start the season, it was clear in warmups that the boys were ready to make a statement early. Quickly after tip-off, a ginger kid on the other team sauced his way through the entire team and put one past Sharps to bring BUFC up one goal. It's when you're down that you show character and the lads were able to stay composed and come back to win the game by 6 goals. Ben Ozga led the way with a hat trick. Other goal scorers were Gasior (2), Dorn (2), Hudak, and Knott. The true hero was Will Sharps in goal. He recorded 75 saves in his debut for the club. Not only was it his debut for Borat FC, it was his debut in the sport of soccer in General. We hope to see nothing but improvement from here on. The boys made a statement in their first game together. The team has a bye next week, followed by a game against Dickens FC.
